How Municipal Court Warrants Work
City courts in Marshall County hear charter, ordinance, and traffic matters. Under Madill's code, the municipal judge keeps case and fine records, issues warrants and subpoenas, and enforces orders. A citation or summons can ripen into an arrest warrant after a failure to appear or answer. Kingston runs its own town court. Keep these city files separate from District Court, since a county search there is no substitute, and while the sheriff serves District Court process, city police execute a municipal warrant under the local judge's direction.
Municipal Courts Across Marshall County
Marshall County's own local-government material names only two incorporated places. Their contacts differ, so match the city on the ticket.
| City | Municipal court route | Warrant types | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Madill | 201 E. Overton Street, city office and police route. | Ordinance, traffic, FTA, municipal arrest. | 580-795-5586 city; 580-795-2387 PD |
| Kingston | 22 North Main Street, Kingston Municipal Court. | Town ordinance, traffic, FTA questions. | 580-564-3750 |
Madill's city pages offer no live warrant portal. Kingston's Quick-Court page is a ticket lookup, not a complete Marshall County warrant list.
Marshall County Municipal Warrant Checks
For Madill, call 580-795-5586 and ask to be routed to the municipal court or city clerk. The police line is 580-795-2387, with 580-795-2221 after hours. For Kingston, search Quick-Court with the ticket or identifying fields, then call 580-564-3750 to ask whether the record shows an FTA or warrant. A general town payment link is not a recall tool. Ask the court directly whether payment alone resolves the warrant, whether a judge must act, and what proof the Marshall County city court will issue afterward.
Madill's Code Holds the Warrant Authority
Madill code ยงยง 5-1 and 6-101 through 6-126 cover the municipal judge, clerk, traffic process, bail, summons, FTA, and warrant form. The form directs the chief of police or an authorized officer to bring the defendant before the court. It also shows why the court record and the serving police record answer different questions in Marshall County. The municipal criminal-court source lays out the local structure.

The code sets out authority and procedure, not current warrant status. Madill's municipal criminal-court chapter is the process route, and the municipal judge source adds Marshall County jurisdiction and warrant authority.

The second code image stays focused on court authority.
Municipal Warrants: What They Show
A Marshall County city warrant record may show the municipal caption, complaint or offense, defendant name, judge and date, citation or case number, command to the chief of police, appearance and bond instructions, and officer return. Public copies can omit private fields.
| City and court caption | Names Madill or Kingston and the municipal court. |
|---|---|
| Citation or case number | Retrieves the local file, not an automatic District Court record. |
| FTA or warrant label | Shows the court's event language. |
| Payment or bond | Needs court confirmation; a model form is not a local price sheet. |
| Service or return | Shows the police or officer action where recorded. |
| Next setting | Controls what the person must do after the warrant event. |
Kingston's Ticket Lookup Has Limits
The Kingston Municipal Court Quick-Court page lists 22 North Main Street and 580-564-3750. It asks for first and last name, address, city, state, and ZIP, plus either a driver's-license number or ticket number for the lookup. The license field finds a citation, not a driving record. The portal promises no complete warrant register and does not explain every FTA, bond, recall, or reset rule, so call the court after searching. The town's general official page names the town, clerk, and police chief but posts no separate warrant counter. In short, the Kingston ticket route can locate a citation, but only the court can confirm a live Marshall County municipal warrant.
Clearing a Municipal Court Warrant
Ask the issuing city court whether payment, an appearance, a reset, a bond, or a judge-approved recall is required. No Marshall County office publishes a countywide municipal bond amount, walk-in surrender schedule, recall form, convenience fee, or payment guarantee.
Do not assume the sheriff can clear it. City police may serve the warrant, but the municipal court controls the court order.
Ask for the current amount, the accepted payment method, the next date, and written proof the warrant or FTA was addressed. If a traffic notice went to Service Oklahoma, ask how the city supplies compliance proof.
Not on the Sheriff List Does Not Mean Clear
Marshall County publishes no full sheriff roster, and municipal records may not feed the county's ODCR route. A city case can be missing from OSCN because the District Court traffic search skips municipal citations. A blank result should send you to Madill or Kingston, not to a conclusion. You will not find the phrase capias pro fine used as the main public label in Marshall County. Use the court's own words, such as municipal arrest warrant, FTA, warrant issued, or cost arrest warrant, and ask the city clerk what each one requires.
Marshall County Municipal Records and Access
The Oklahoma Open Records Act can back a defined request for a city record, subject to exemptions and confidentiality rules. Ask the clerk or court for the citation, event, and date range. The county fee page sets no Marshall County municipal warrant fee.
Request narrowly: identify the city, case or citation number, warrant event, and copy or inspection needed.
Juvenile, sealed, and protected material stays closed. Keep private identifiers off any public list. The Marshall County official home routes general county business but posts no municipal warrant roster.

The county source reinforces that a municipal question still belongs with Madill or Kingston.
City Court Questions for a Family Member
Helping a relative in Marshall County starts with the citation or case number. Give that to the city court and ask plainly what the file shows now. Does it list a failure to appear or an outstanding warrant? Will payment clear it, or must a judge act first? Ask where the appearance happens and what proof the court hands you afterward. Keep this route separate from any District Court matter. If the city says the county holds the case, call the Court Clerk at 580-795-3278 and confirm which court keeps the file.
Municipal Warrant Service in Two Towns
Madill's code sends its municipal warrant straight to the chief of police or another authorized city officer. Kingston tells a different story. Its town page names a police chief and lists a phone, but no execution rule and no station address appear there. So for Kingston, call before you act. Across Marshall County, the sheriff stays the fallback when a city sends you that way or when the case really sits in District Court. That fallback does not mean every municipal warrant lives in the county system.
